It's important to take good care of your tires, or else you could end up with a flat. Flat tires are caused by many things, but one common reason is incorrect tire pressure. Tire pressure above the level suggested by your manufacturer will lead to slight bouncing as you drive, which in turn will weaken traction and increase your chances of hitting an obstacle in the road that may puncture your tire. When tire pressure is too low, more of your tire touches the road. This increases friction, which could make your tires overheat and lead to a blowout. Another reason for a flat tire could be a damaged valve stem, the component that allows the tire to be filled with air. Your tires may also simply be worn, allowing air to leak out. All of these conditions could lead to a flat tire while driving.
If you get a flat tire while driving, you should immediately pull over to an area isolated from traffic. Driving on a flat tire can cause damage to the wheel or cause you to lose control of your car entirely. If you pull over but find yourself unable to change the tire on your own, we can help. Our knowledgeable staff is equipped with the right tools to replace your flat tire with a spare tire. If we arrive on-site to replace your tire but you don’t have a spare tire in your car, we can remove your flat tire and replace it with a new tire instead. We strive to respond with speed and efficiency, so give us a call. We’ll work hard to have you back on the road in no time.

What’s the difference between Repairs and Maintenance?
Repairs are services that are required or necessary when something on your vehicle is not working properly or may have worn to the point where a replacement is required to maintain the performance of your vehicle.
Maintenance is the routinely scheduled services, inspections and part replacements that your vehicle manufacturer recommends based on the age or mileage of your vehicle.
The schedule for performing these maintenance services varies from vehicle to vehicle. You will find the schedule for your vehicle in your owner's manual. Following this schedule is the best way to make sure your vehicle is performing as it should.
All BIG O Tire dealers in BC pride themselves on being able to provide the best customer service and the highest quality service work available anywhere. To support that, a service warranty on workmanship, service and/or parts is provided by each independent BIG O Tires dealership. These warranties vary from one aspect of our business to another - Tire warranties are different from Wheel warranties, and each of these differ from warranties on Service work performed during the course of a repair or maintenance on your vehicle. Ask your BIG O dealer at the time of purchase of these products and/or services what the warranty period is and what is covered under it.
